Shannon Chamber Skillnet in conjunction with the University of Limerick will be running a Management Development programme in September 2017.
This Breakfast Briefing is designed to showcase the course content and gives the attendee the opportunity to ask any questions of tutors and the course director.
Building people management and leadership competencies is essential in building a strong and driven workforce. This programme supports personal and professional growth whilst encouraging participants to create a supportive team environment where integrity and respect, innovation and creativity, ambition and a winning spirit are pillars to the successful delivery of services.
The proposed programme aims to support learners to identify innovative methods of doing business in a competitive environment, whether that be customer or internally facing. Participants will be guided to specify performance objectives to achieve personal and organisational improvements and to motivate their teams to achieve the company’s primary objectives.

Programme Modules & Agenda Overview
This one-year (10 session) skills-based programme is suitable for public, private and not-for-profit organisations. It provides a sound introduction to management, for candidates who aspire to consolidate their existing operational experience and gain a formal management qualification. The programme will be delivered via tutor facilitated interactive workshops. While based on relevant academic theories, concepts and techniques there will also be significant focus on individual personal development and the practical application of learning within the workplace.

- The programme is open to managers, supervisors or those aspiring to a managerial role with a minimum of two years organisational experience.
