SUMMARY:Mental Health Awareness in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Course Overview: \n\nThe purpose of this training session in M
 ental Health Awareness is to equip participants\, Managers or Employees to
  increase their own understanding of mental health and their awareness of 
 mental ill-­health and stress particular to their colleagues or team memb
 ers and to enhance their skills in working with those who are experiencing
  mental health problems.\n\nCourse Content: \n\n 	Awareness of the sympto
 ms and characteristics of common mental health problems.\n 	The experience
  of mental illness.\n 	Particular mental health issues and common mental h
 ealth problems in the workplace.\n 	Engaging with the person experiencing 
 Mental Health problems.\n 	The Mental Health system in Ireland.\n 	Making 
 a referral under the Mental Health Act 2001.\n 	Engaging with the Mental H
 ealth services.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nCourse Outcomes:\n\n 	At the end of the trai
 ning session participants should:\n 	Have an awareness of how to recognise
  instances of mental health difficulties and stress among team members or 
 colleagues.\n 	Have strategies to be able to respond sensitively to the co
 -­‐worker or team member and cope in situations where they have recogni
 sed stress and/or a mental health issue.\n 	Have an understanding of how t
 o support team members or colleagues who may be experiencing difficulties 
 related to stress and/or mental health and employees returning to work aft
 er a mental-­‐health-­‐related absence.\n 	Have an understanding of 
 the mental health system – specifically with respect to being able to ma
 ke appropriate referrals to professionals who can help.\n 	Have been given
  the tools in order to have meaningful and appropriate conversations aroun
 d mental health issues at work.\n\nWho is this course suitable for? \n\nAl
 l organisations that wish to promote Positive Mental Health at work.  The
  course is suitable for everyone and is especially beneficial to Human Res
 ource personnel\, Line Managers (all levels)\, Support Workers\, Social Ca
 re Workers\, Addiction Workers\, Family Care Workers\, Education and Medic
 al Workers.\n\nPROGRAM FEE: Members €80 / Non-Members: €90\n\nThis is

 over 3 days in advance of scheduled training date shall incur no cancellat

 strants who give less than 24 hours notice or fail to attend training will
