SUMMARY:Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
DESCRIPTION:Undergraduate Level 8\, 6 ECTS Credits with University of Limer
 ick \nProgramme Objectives \nThe objective of this programme is to give a
  detailed overview of the key concepts of Lean Thinking in terms of the Le
 an Principles (Value\, Value Stream\, Flow\, Pull\, and Perfection) and th
 e Wastes as identified by Lean. It provides a practical understanding of h
 ow to identify and expose the opportunities presented by the ubiquity of w
 aste in businesses and delivers practical instruction in powerful Lean too
 ls &amp\; techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen.\n\nThe aim i
 s to successfully manage projects which deliver demonstrable improvement i
 n key business measures. Team members need both the ability to effectively
  manage these projects and lead cross-functional teams.\n\nThe second aim 
 of this course is to combine the philosophies of Lean Thinking with the di
 scipline of Project Management and the concepts of teams and team performa
 nce to assist project leaders in the successful delivery of improvement pr

 your company premises.\n\nYour ability to deliver an improvement project i
 n your business will be the key outcome of this programme as it demonstrat
 es your learning and application. The in-company mentoring will be focused
  on the application of learning and supporting you through a structured im
 plementation. The mentoring sessions are used to achieve the following:\n\
 nMeet owner / key managers in the company to scope out the project(s).\n\n
 Prepare project business cases and involve your finance team as required.\
 n\nProvide support and feedback to members of the project team.\n\nComplet
 e the assignment with a team presentation to the management team.\n\nThrou
 ghout the programme\, the aim is to transfer knowledge\, skills and attitu
 de to the project team to enable participants to apply lean principles in 
 future.\nIn-Company project\nEach learner is required to put their learnin
 gs into action through the completion of an improvement project.\n\nProjec
 ts will be completed using the A3 template\, covering the structured probl
 em-solving process of Lean and demonstrating the participants grasp of Lea
 n principles\, tools and best practice. Outcomes from these projects will 
 be used to demonstrate return on investment (ROI) to the client companies\
 , further furnishing the positive impact of the programme.\nCourse Duratio
 n and Delivery\nThis programme will be delivered over the course of 5 int
 ense workshops days\, plus additional mentoring days for selected projects
 . Typically\, the classroom training will be delivered over three months\,
  day one and two consecutively\, followed by a three-week period between t
 he remaining days.\n\nThe five workshop days will consist of classroom-bas
 ed training\, supplemented with practical exercises and relevant case stud
 ies.\nCertification from the University of Limerick (UL)\nThis training co
 urse is recognised by the University of Limerick. Upon successful completi
 on of the training\, in-company project and personal reflection\, learners
  will be accredited with a level 8 (undergraduate) certificate or 6 ECTS c
