SUMMARY:Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Fully Subscribed)
DESCRIPTION:Undergraduate Level 8\, 6 ECTS Credits with University of Limer
 ick\n\nProgramme Objectives \nThe objective of this programme is to give 
 a detailed overview of the key concepts of Lean Thinking in terms of the L
 ean Principles (Value\, Value Stream\, Flow\, Pull\, and Perfection) and t
 he Wastes as identified by Lean. It provides a practical understanding of 
 how to identify and expose the opportunities presented by the ubiquity of 
 waste in businesses and delivers practical instruction in powerful Lean to
 ols &amp\; techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen.\n\nThe aim 
 is to successfully manage projects which deliver demonstrable improvement 
 in key business measures. Team members need both the ability to effectivel
 y manage these projects and lead cross-functional teams.\n\nThe second aim
  of this course is to combine the philosophies of Lean Thinking with the d
 iscipline of Project Management and the concepts of teams and team perform
 ance to assist project leaders in the successful delivery of improvement p

  (4 Days mentoring per company)\n\n 	Mentoring sessions delivered on-site 
 on your company premises.\n 	Your ability to deliver an improvement projec
 t in your business will be the key outcome of this programme as it demonst
 rates your learning and application. The in-company mentoring will be focu
 sed on the application of learning and supporting you through a structured
  implementation. The mentoring sessions are used to achieve the following:
 \n 	Meet owner / key managers in the company to scope out the project(s).\
 n 	Prepare project business cases and involve your finance team as require
 d.\n 	Provide support and feedback to members of the project team.\n 	Comp
 lete the assignment with a team presentation to the management team.\n 	Th
 roughout the programme\, the aim is to transfer knowledge\, skills and att
 itude to the project team to enable participants to apply lean principles 
 in future.\n\nIn-Company project\nEach learner is required to put their le
 arnings into action through the completion of an improvement project.\n\nP
 rojects will be completed using the A3 template\, covering the structured 
 problem-solving process of Lean and demonstrating the participants grasp o
 f Lean principles\, tools and best practice. Outcomes from these projects 
 will be used to demonstrate return on investment (ROI) to the client compa
 nies\, further furnishing the positive impact of the programme.\nCourse Du
 ration and Delivery\nThis programme will be delivered over the course of 
 5 intense workshops days\, plus additional mentoring days for selected pro
 jects. Typically\, the classroom training will be delivered over three mon
 ths\, day one and two consecutively\, followed by a three-week period betw
 een the remaining days.\n\nThe five workshop days will consist of classroo
 m-based training\, supplemented with practical exercises and relevant case
  studies.\nCertification from the University of Limerick (UL)\nThis traini
 ng course is recognised by the University of Limerick. Upon successful com
 pletion of the training\, in-company project and personal reflection\, lea
 rners will be accredited with a level 8 (undergraduate) certificate or 6 E
