SUMMARY:Influencing and Persuading Skills
DESCRIPTION:Course Content:\n\n 	What is Negotiation? To begin\, participan
 ts will explore the different types of negotiation (including positional b
 argaining) and the phases of negotiation.\n 	The Successful Negotiator:  
 Next\, participants will explore key attributes of a successful negotiator
 .\n 	Preparing for Negotiation: During this session\, participants will le
 arn the elements of preparing for negotiation: identifying your fears and 
 hot buttons\; doing research into your issues and the opponent’s issues\
 ; and preparing your WAP\, BATNA\, WATNA\, and ZOPA.\n 	The Nuts and Bolts
 : This session will give participants some tips on preparing their documen
 tation and choosing a place for the negotiation.\n 	Making the Right Impre
 ssion: Next\, participants will learn the importance of self-presentation 
 during the negotiation\, including small talk\, attire\, first impressions
 \, and their handshake.\n 	Getting Off to a Good Start: During this sessio
 n\, participants will explore how to establish common ground and how to us
 e ground rules.\n 	Exchanging Information: This session will look at how t
 o exchange information and what to do if the negotiation gets off to a bad
  start.\n 	The Bargaining Stage: Participants will learn six techniques fo
 r negotiating success.\n 	Reaching Mutual Gain: Next\, participants will l
 earn about four obstacles to mutual gain and how to turn them into negotia
 tion advantages.\n 	Moving Beyond No: This session will look at ways to ge
 t past “no” and how to break an impasse\, so that you can get to “ye
 s.”\n 	Dealing with Negative Emotions: During this session\, participant
 s will explore some ways to deal with negative behaviours during a negotia
 tion.\n 	Moving from Bargaining to Closing: Next\, participants will learn
  how to tell when it’s time to move from the bargaining phase to the clo
 sing phase.\n 	Solution Types: This session will discuss ways to build win
 -win solutions\, achieve a sustainable agreement\, and reach consensus.\n\
 n&nbsp\;\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\nThe two-day workshop covers the followin
 g:\n• How often we all negotiate and the benefits of good negotiation sk
 ills.\n• The importance of preparing for the negotiation process\, regar
 dless of the circumstances.\n• The various negotiation styles and their 
 advantages and disadvantages.\n• Strategies for dealing with tough or un
 fair tactics.\n• Skills in developing alternatives and recognising optio
 ns\n• Basic negotiation principles\, including BATNA\, WATNA\, WAP\, and
  the ZOPA.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWho Should Attend:\n\nThis course is suitable for
  anybody\, in any career discipline to help the participants familiarise t
 hemselves with these topics so they can be prepared to handle them when ne
