DESCRIPTION:Course Aim: The aim of this First Aid Responder Refresher cours
 e is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be a First Aid R
 esponder.\n\nCourse Overview &amp\; Content: \n\nPHECC has designed the F
 irst Aid Response (FAR) Standard to offer appropriate training to individu
 als and groups who require a first aid skill set including cardiac first r
 esponse. This standard is designed to meet first aid and basic life suppor
 t (BLS) requirements that a person known as “First Aid Responder” may 
 encounter. The FAR Standard meets the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) re
 quirement for occupational first aid training for the workplace.\n\n 	Infe
 ction Prevention and Control\n 	Patient Assessment\n 	Incident Procedure\n
  	Cardiac First Responder (community)\n 	Common Medical Emergencies\n 	Inj
 ury Management and Shock\n 	Care of the Unconscious Patient\n 	Burns and E
 lectrical Injury Care\n 	Hypothermia and Hyperthermia\n 	Information Manag
 ement\n 	Communications\n 	The well-being of the first aid responder\n\nWh
 o should attend?\n\nAny qualified First Aider that needs to be re-certifi
 ed within the 2 year period as per PHECC guidelines.\n\nAccreditation:\n\n
 On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a PHECC Fir
 st Aid Responder certificate.\n\nCertificate Valid for 2 years.\n\nCourse 
 Duration:  2 Days (9.30 - 16.30)\n\nVenue: Oakwood Hotel\, Shannon\n\nCos

 llation Policy: Training courses which are cancelled over 7 days in advanc
 e of scheduled training date shall incur no cancellation fee. Training cou
 rses which are cancelled within 3 days of scheduled training date shall in
 cur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost. Registrants who give less
  than 24 hours notice or fail to attend training will be charged 100% of t
