DESCRIPTION:Course Aim: The aim of this First Aid Responder Refresher cours
 e is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be a First Aid R
 esponder.\n\nThe Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) have extende
 d the recertification deadline to the 31st of July 2021. If your First Ai
 d Response certificate 'expiry date' reads anytime since last March 202
 0\, a Responder may complete the refresher course to maintain certificatio
 n on or before 31st of July 2021.  Failure to do this\, the Responder wil
 l need to re-sit the 3 day certification course.  \n\nCourse Overview &a
 mp\; Content: \n\nPHECC has designed the First Aid Response (FAR) Standar
 d to offer appropriate training to individuals and groups who require a fi
 rst aid skill set including cardiac first response. This standard is desig
 ned to meet first aid and basic life support (BLS) requirements that a per
 son known as “First Aid Responder” may encounter. The FAR Standard mee
 ts the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) requirement for occupational firs
 t aid training for the workplace.\n\n 	Infection Prevention and Control\n 
 	Patient Assessment\n 	Incident Procedure\n 	Cardiac First Responder (comm
 unity)\n 	Common Medical Emergencies\n 	Injury Management and Shock\n 	Car
 e of the Unconscious Patient\n 	Burns and Electrical Injury Care\n 	Hypoth
 ermia and Hyperthermia\n 	Information Management\n 	Communications\n 	The 
 well-being of the first aid responder\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAny qualifi
 ed First Aider that needs to be re-certified within the 2 year period as 
 per PHECC guidelines.\n\nAccreditation:\n\nOn successful completion of the
  course candidates will receive a PHECC First Aid Responder certificate.\n
 \nCertificate Valid for 2 years.\n\nCourse Duration:  2 Days (9.30 - 16.3

 all incur no cancellation fee. Training courses which are cancelled within
  3 days of scheduled training date shall incur a cancellation fee equal to
  50% of the cost. Registrants who give less than 24 hours notice or fail t
