DESCRIPTION:Shannon Chamber Skillnet is taking expression of interests in P
 rofessional Diploma in Financial Advice program with IOB and will offer a 
 subsidised rate to member companies.\nWho is the programme for?\nThe Profe
 ssional Diploma in Financial Advice is a six module level 7 qualification 
 and is a must for all those pursuing a career in retail and business banki
 ng. It is the industry recognised\, premier designation qualification\, fo
 r financial advisers in retail financial services in the Republic of Irela
 nd. If you are a financial adviser\, or wish to become one in the future\,
  then the Professional Diploma in Financial Advice will enhance the breadt
 h and depth of your knowledge to provide consumers with sound professional
  advice.\nHow you will benefit\nOn successful completion of this programme
  and on attaining the recognised professional designation QFA\, you will b
 e able to:\n\n 	Provide competent advice to consumers regarding the variou
 s loan offerings available\, the process involved and the implications of 
 these offerings to consumers\n 	Discuss the need for\, and types of\, reti
 rement provision available and the regulation and restrictions on such pro
 vision\n 	Describe relevant regulation that is used in the provision of fi
 nancial services and the impact it has in this environment\n 	Explain the 
 types of investment needs of consumers and the important issues arising as
  a result of these needs\n 	Provide competent advice to a consumer regardi
 ng their life assurance needs and the implications of decisions they may m
 ake\n 	Use analytical skills to make recommendations to clients regarding 
 financial planning\n\nMinimum Competency Code\nHolders of the Professional
  Diploma in Financial Advice are invited to apply for the Qualified Financ
 ial Adviser (QFA) designation thereby meeting the Central Bank of Ireland
 ’s Minimum Competency Code for those who wish to arrange\, advise on\, o
 r undertake specified functions for the following five categories of retai
 l financial products:\n\n 	Life Assurance\n 	Pensions\n 	Savings and Inves
 tments\n 	Housing Loans\, Home Reversion Agreements and Associated Insuran
 ces\n 	Consumer Credit Agreements and Associated Insurances.\n\nThe key da
 tes for Summer Term are as follows (highlighted in yellow). The Blended L
 evel 7 and Level 8 closing dates would not apply to this programme.\n\n\n\
