DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis Shannon Chamber Skillnet programme is cofunded by the 
 Government of Ireland\, the European Union\, and network companies. https:
 //www.eufunds.ie/\n\nIn collaboration with TUS\, this programme aims to pr
 ovide the learner with a detailed knowledge and understanding of Hybrid &a
 mp\; Battery Electric Vehicle technologies\, it will also provide the lear
 ner with the ability to analyse High Voltage Electric Vehicle condition an
 d assess the risks involved while implementing the skills to diagnose and 
 repair High Voltage Electric Vehicle systems in line with European electri
 cal safety standards.\n\nThis Shannon Chamber Skillnet programme is cofund

 es. https://www.eufunds.ie/\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n1. Differentiate bet
 ween the various High Voltage Electrical Components and Technologies used 
 in modern Electric Vehicle Powertrains and High Voltage Charging Systems.\
 n\n2. Describe AC variable motor speed drive technology and regenerative b
 raking as used in Electric Vehicle Powertrain applications.\n\n3. Appraise
  the Health and Safety Risks involved in the diagnosis and repair of High 
 Voltage Electric Vehicles in line with European electrical safety standard
 s.\n\n4. Develop a Workshop Plan and Risk Assessment for the repair of Hig
 h Voltage Electrical Vehicles.\n\n5. Assess the operation and condition of
  High Voltage Electric Vehicle Batteries and Charging Systems.\n\n6. Analy
 se the condition of High Voltage Electrical components and systems prior t
 o carrying out repairs.\n\n7. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills require
 d to safely remove\, diagnose and repair High Voltage Electric Vehicle com
 ponents.\n\nEntry Requirements:\n\nThose with Craft Certificates/National 
 Craft Certificates/Senior Trades qualifications or equivalent in Light/Hea
 vy Vehicle Motor Mechanics should attend.\n\nTo access this programme\, th
 e learner must at minimum hold a Level 6 Advanced Craft Certificate/Nation
 al Craft Certificate/Senior Trades qualification or equivalent in Light/He
 avy Vehicle Motor Mechanics.\n\nDelivery Method: \n\nSchedule: Online (Zoo
 m)\, Tuesday 19:00 – 21:00 for 10 weeks. In addition there will be 2 day
 s of in-person workshops. The in-person workshops will take place in the T
 US  Campus.\n\nThis proposed delivery schedule is subject to change.\n\nC
 ertification: \n\nThis is a Level 7\, 10 ECTS programme. Successful learne

  over 7 days in advance of scheduled training date shall incur no cancella
 tion fee. Training courses which are cancelled within 7 days of scheduled 
 training date shall incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost. Reg
 istrants who give less than 24 hours notice or fail to attend training wil
 l be charged 100% of the full fee.
