 nt Thornton in 2005 as part of the advisory team. He has extensive experie
 nce in advisory services\, and was admitted to the Partnership in 2016.\n\
 nFrom 2013 to 2016\, Dara was based in New York where he led the Grant Tho
 rnton U.S. Irish Business Group.\n\nThe role involved assisting US corpora
 tions execute development strategies into European markets. During his thr
 ee years in New York\, Dara also worked closely with the US transaction se
 rvices team on significant buy side transactions for large private equity 
 clients and investment banks.\n\nDara’s recent experience includes:\n\n 
 	accelerated M&amp\;A process on behalf of multiple retail and hospitality
  businesses\;\n 	independent business reviews and strategic advice reports
  on behalf of a number of financial institutions including Ulster Bank\, A
 IB and Bank or Ireland\;\n 	transaction advisory services for several mult
 inational PLCs\; and\n 	transaction advisory services on behalf of various
  financial services firms across Ireland\, UK\, Luxembourg\, USA\, and Cay
 man Islands.\n\nSector Experience\n\nPrior to 2013\, Dara worked in the Ir
 ish advisory team where he gained valuable experience working on a number 
 of complex corporate finance assignments including MBO’s\, bank financin
 g/re-financing\, valuations and fund raisings.\n\nHis main area of experti
 se is in corporate finance\, transaction advisory services and corporate r
 estructuring and he has extensive experience in providing strategic advice
  to leading Irish corporates and financial institutions.\n\nDara’s skill
  set also incorporates experience from the provision of International Busi
 ness Reviews\, strategic option papers and exit strategies to both acceler
 ated and controlled mergers and acquisitions\, obtaining maximum value for
  his clients.\n\nProfessional qualifications and memberships\n\nDara is an
  associate of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and holds a Bachelor of 
 Science (BSc) from University College Dublin (UCD)\, Ireland.\n\n&nbsp\;\n
